Later living event: Is a retirement housing act needed for England

This invite-only event brings together leading figures from across
the later living sector to express their views on whether a new

Act of Parliament would drive real progress in delivering high quality fit-for-purpose homes designed for people in later life.

During the roundtable discussion we will explore whether there is a need to create a new Retirement Housing Act for England. Depending on the views expressed, the outcome will be to begin to make the case for a new act covering the issues noted on the following pages and others, with a view to bringing the proposal before the government.

Our discussion aims to explore and bring together the relevant factors and themes including:
- Models from overseas
- Planning use classifications
- Codes of practice
- Funding models
- Redress systems
- Managing agents
