Shakespeare Martineau advises Allied Irish Bank

Shakespeare Martineau acted for Allied Irish Bank (AIB) who provided term loan and asset finance facilities to support a £100m management buyout of DMS Demolition.

St Francis Group is one of the UK’s leading regeneration specialists and an expert in brownfield development and DSM Demolition (another arm of the Group) is one of the UK’s leading demolition and decommissioning companies. The restructuring of the Group, together with the new management team and additional investment by Metric Capital Partners LLP, will further enhance the value and growth of this Group.

Law firm Shakespeare Martineau has worked with AIB with for many years providing their clients with legal advice helping them achieve their growth aspirations.
Naomi Tudor, partner and joint head of banking and finance sector, led the Shakespeare Martineau team commented on the deal: “It was great to be involved in one of the largest corporate deals in the West Midlands in this calendar year. From a banking perspective this transaction had a number of interesting structuring issues to consider which were challenging and it was very satisfying to be able to offer advice and solutions on those”.

"We’re delighted to be at the beginning of a partnership between two teams who share the same winning spirit and focus on supporting talent to achieve their potential. Everyone here has a great sense of pride and excitement to be working with Team England – a team that, after all, reflects just how much can be achieved by a diverse and varied group of individuals all focused on one goal. We can’t wait to get started."
