We are delighted to have recently welcomed several new legal experts to our employment law team and we are continuing to actively recruit to ensure we continue delivering high-quality, strategic advice tailored to client needs.
The latest additions include legal director Lucinda Chaplin to our Nottingham hub. In Birmingham, associate Alexandria Davis and solicitor Luke Bernard have been appointed, while solicitors Morgan Lloyd and Arif Rahman join the team in Bristol and Leicester, respectively. Ellen Abrahall, who is based in Birmingham, has also qualified into the employment team.
Lucinda, who joins from Browne Jacobson, brings a wealth of experience handling contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with a client base spanning local authorities, public and private health services, education and various private sector clients.
She said: “I’m excited to have joined Shakespeare Martineau, a firm known for its people-focused approach, exceptional client base and strong reputation in the industry. The opportunity to work alongside a talented team and contribute to the firm’s ambitious growth plans for the East Midlands and beyond is something I’m really looking forward to.”
“My goal is to further develop the firm’s footprint in the region, build strong, lasting relationships with both local and national clients, and help the team continue to provide outstanding service. I thrive on meeting new people and understanding how businesses operate, and I’m passionate about offering practical, strategic advice to help clients navigate employment law challenges.”
Alexandria joins the firm after more than four years at White & Case LLP, where she completed her training contract and later advanced to associate in the employment, compensation and benefits team.
Luke joins us following six years at Shoosmiths, where he began his career as a paralegal before completing his training contract and qualifying into the corporate team before electing to change disciplines. Luke’s experience includes a secondment to the Volkswagen Group.
Morgan brings a wealth of experience from his time at Peninsula Australia, where he worked as an employment relations advisor. He previously worked as a solicitor at DLG Legal Services, GA Solicitors and DAS Law.
Arif, who originally worked with us as a paralegal, has returned after six years at Weightmans, where he gained valuable experience as a paralegal and completed his training contract.
David Browne, head of employment law, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lucinda, Alexandria, Luke, Morgan, Arif and Ellen to our growing team. Their expertise, combined with their understanding of their respective local markets, will be essential as we continue to grow and meet the increasing demand for our services.”
“Our focus on recruiting top talent is key to ensuring we can provide the exceptional service our clients expect as we continue to strengthen our position in the market.”
